Gators Say Goodbye To Two Greats
The club recently said goodbye to two of our own, with the sad passing of Ray Rickard and John Harris.
Ray Rickard played with the Gators back in 70's and was a very handy batsman and wicket Keeper. We most recently caught up with Ray at our 50th Anniversary Gala night, where he and his son Byron attended. It was great to hear him reminisce about his time at the Gators and his fondness for our club.
John Harris, father of Wayne, but, no relation to Dave or Chris, worked tirelessly for our club and served as president in 92-93 and 93-94. He always had a smile on his face, worked incredibly hard for our club and never had anything bad to say about anybody, a great man.
Both Ray and John will be sorely missed, our thoughts and prayers go out to both families.
