President, Chris Harris, welcome to the new season
With the season fast approaching training has commenced at Saxon sports Gatwick rd. Bayswater 7.00 pm, Thursday nights. Numbers have been terrific, considering the cold weather and of course, footy season is still going, great to see all of you, who’ve been able to attend and we look forward seeing those who haven’t been able to attend, soon.
We’d like to extend a hearty welcome to a few players who have come back home to our club, Paul Wiles, a life member of our club, Adam Heath, who played juniors and his early senior years with us, as did Scott Harvey, who is coming home after a long hiatus and Josh Burridge, Steve Burridge’s son and another member of the well-known, Burridge clan.
We also welcome a new player to our club, Trent Fitzgerald, who has joined us from Vermont and looks like he’s fitting in quite nicely and is a welcome addition to our club, please make Trent feel at home and one of our family.
Making news off the field, around the club, the council has confirmed that they are going to begin resurfacing work on H.V. Jones Reserve. Work is scheduled to start in November, meaning, the ground will be out action for up to 18 months, so, our club will operate out of Windermere Reserve until the works at H.V. are completed.
See you all soon!
Regards,
Chris Harris
President
